Our 16oz. pint jar container (1.3 lbs of honey) is for those who want a little more honey than a standard 12 oz bottle and prefer a glass jar instead of a plastic bottle.
Our glass jars use a metal canning lid and jar ring as a top. We recommend that you utilize a honey dipper for dispensing your honey from the glass jar as it is easier and less messy than other utensils. For returning customers who bring back their glass jars, we offer a discount on their next honey purchase.
Our 100% real, raw wildflower honey is collected and gathered in north-central Iowa every year during the last few weeks of August and early September. Our honey is never heated or pasteurized.
Before bottling we strain our honey through 400-600 micron mesh filters, which allows the pollen to easily filter into the bottled honey yet remove pieces of wax and other foreign material from passing through into the container.
The honey that you purchase from your local grocery store could have been ultra-filtered and pasteurized, which removes the healthful benefits. This honey may be bottled in the United States, but originated from a foreign country without honey-extracting/storage ethics, or possibly is adulterated with additional ingredients, such as high fructose corn syrup.
